So often, we think we are using the correct phrase and come to find out that we are not!

In each case, the second phrase is the correct one….the one which you should use.
And your Two Chums have ONE more to add! That is “Correct pronounciation vs. correct pronunciation”.

I can make a case for “make do” but don’t understand “make due”. You use what you’ve got even though it is not ideal. When would you use the other?
According to Writing Explained, “Make due is a historical variant that is no longer accepted”.
