Wise Words – Corrie ten Boom
We started off this week sharing some words of wisdom from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Let’s finish this week with some wise words from one of our favorite very wise people…Corrie ten Boom
Thank you Miss ten Boom for this wise and powerful reminder. Don’t go into this weekend worrying about anything that might happen later or next week. Trust that you will have the strength you need to handle whatever challenges tomorrow may hold.
The Message version of the Bible says it like this:
“Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worry, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life” – Philippians 4:6-7
And who knows? You might be worrying about something that won’t ever happen. Instead our prayer for all our chums is that your days may be filled with a sense of peace in the midst of trials and unexpected joy!
