What Teachers Make
Often under appreciated, and sometimes underpaid, it is important to remember…. good teachers can change lives…When Taylor Mali was harassed at a dinner party and roasted, for being just a teacher by his host, he politely held his tongue until the host asked him, “You’re a teacher Taylor, I mean come on, be honest…. what do teachers make?”
While we don’t normally share stories that start on a negative note like this one, the message of this teacher’s response is too good to ignore, even if his delivery comes across frustrated, and at times, even a bit angry.
From kindergarten to college, teachers do make a difference. If you ever had a great one, you already know this. Maybe your child or grandchild has one now. Take a minute to let him or her know you appreciate all he or she is doing. Sending a note of thanks or taking a minute just to acknowledge a great job can go a very long way.
Showing gratitude for a great teacher will make both your lives so much more abundant 🙂

BRAVO! Dear J and R, thanks for including this in your blog. I applaud Taylor’s outspoken courage in the face of ignorance. Someone has to set a standard…society tends to dumb-down just about everything.
FYI: My favorite teacher was Gordon LeClaire. A French Canadian by birth and a poet. He influenced me in many wonderful ways and was a wonderful person…just like another Canadian I know! Aye Jackie?!
Fondly,
H. B-P
Thanks, so much, H.B-P! Love hearing from you!
From a former teacher –
AMEN!!!!
