Well Done Mr. Eastwood
These days, more often than not, you will hear an older person
(aka a senior citizen) referencing how they are slowing down, or need to slow down because of their age, or their physical challenges and health. Not so for Clint Eastwood.
Mr. Eastwood had a conversation with a partner shortly before his last birthday (he was born May 31,1930). The conversation is recorded here:
What an amazing attitude to choose not to be old, or as he put it, to “let the old man in”. It is, after all a choice. We have shared one of our favorite quotes regarding aging with you all before but we think it bares repeating, “People don’t stop playing because they get old, they get old because they stop playing.”
We can’t stop the clock and all of us age, that is mandatory. But getting old is optional. Clint Eastwood has figured that out and not only keeps doing the thing he loves doing (making movies), but he chooses not to get old while doing it. So for that we salute him and say “Well Done Mr. Eastwood” and thank you for all the hours of entertainment and enjoyment you’ve brought to so many people over the years. May you keep making movies and “playing” for many, many more years to come.
