Well Done – Guy Fieri
One of the Food Networks biggest stars and icons, Guy Fieri is now an icon with average unknown restaurant workers nationwide.
Guy Fieri rose to notoriety and eventually fame on the Food Network after claiming the title of The Next Food Network Star on it’s second season competition in 2006.
Known now as the Fundraiser of Flavortown, Guy Fieri set about in March of this year to start a non-profit called Restaurant Employee Relief Fund to bring aid during the pandemic to hard hit restaurant workers. He reached out to big name companies like PepsiCo, Hennessy, Moet, and Uber Eats to name a few, as well as others, and the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives superstar has used his fame and platform to do something really good and really helpful to people who need it desperately right now. While so many talk a lot about what “should” or “could” be done by government or politicians, this Guy actually did something useful. He raised over $21.5 million dollars to bring help to restaurant workers. So for that reason we give Guy a big thumbs up and an even bigger WELL DONE Guy!!!!
We don’t all have his celebrity or public platform, but we all have some area of influence that we could use to help someone else who is struggling during these trying times. Think about what you could do to be a “star” to someone…a family member, a neighbor, a first responder…anyone who could use an extra boost this holiday season, and then do whatever you can to brighten someone else’s day. Your own day and life will be brighter and happier too. And if you do something to help someone else, or know of someone who has, please let us know. It isn’t bragging, it’s an encouragement to us all. Your chums are always happy to give a big Well Done to anyone who does good and brings about more love, more joy and more abundant living to others 🙂
