Well Done!
This policeman really turned things around!
Emmett Township Public Safety Officer Ben Hall received a call from dispatch last week in the Michigan township of nearly 20,000 people that a young child was spotted in a car without a booster seat.
When the car matching the description drove by, Hall pulled it over and found a 5-year-old seat belted in the backseat with no booster seat.
You can imagine the mother’s joy when, after realizing that it was because of financial hardship that the child did not have a booster seat, Officer Ben Hall look the mother and her daughter directly to Walmart. Once there, he paid for, out of his own pocket, a booster seat for this dear youngster.
Certainly, the story could have ended rather differently – rather sadly with a ticket. BUT, because of his big heart and a desire to help, the story had a wonderful ending.
How grateful we are to hear of stories such as these and equally grateful to be able to share them.
Joy, yes pure joy!

It is truly refreshing to hear some good news, especially at this time of heightened tension between our law enforcement personnel, many of whom (by far) are “salt of the earth” people, and the rest of our culture. I’m afraid we are slipping into a very cynical place as a worldwide community, thanks to the voices that just seem to shout the loudest… probably not the majority, though. Thanks for your consistent voices of encouragement, and of love, joy, and wonderful…er, … whatever!!
That would be “abundant living” you were looking for 🙂 And we couldn’t agree with you more! XO
