Wall To Wall
We all have probably hundreds, if not thousands, of photos on our phones. Or even older photos stuffed away in shoe boxes hiding in the closet. Every few years we pull them out, look through some of them and smile at the happy memories they represent.
Why not display them in a way that they can be enjoyed everyday and can cheer up an otherwise dull wall space.
Both your chums have used this technique in our homes. Jackie has a wall very similar to this displaying photos of all her grandchildren and it is very fun indeed! Her photos are in color, and displayed on a colorful wall, but they are all head shots, and all in identical frames.
You could do them as Jackie did in color, or have copies made of your favorite photos in black and white as in the example above. The key to having the display pop is to have the same frames.
Robin has some very old photos of her parents, and her husbands parents, as well as some of grandparents and siblings. She chose to use the old original black and white photos so they are not all the same size but she had mats cut for them so when matted they are all the same size and they are all framed in gold wooden frames. They adorn an otherwise neutral wall going up the stairway.
Black and white photos in simple same sized black frames will always give you a cleaner, sleeker more modern look. But if you prefer color photos, do them as Jackie did, and keep all the subjects in the photos the same size like the head shots for example. If you have very old photos that are different sizes do what Robin did and have them matted to make them all the same size.
Either way your drab walls will have new life and you will be surrounded by people you love and lots of sweet memories that will make you smile. More love, more joy and very abundant living to be sure 🙂
