This Little Piggy

We all seem to love pork. Whether its bacon or spare ribs or pulled pork sandwiches we love our pork, also sometimes called “the other white meat,” Often in a recipe or favorite dish you are asked to buy a certain portion of the pig…the hocks, the ribs, the shoulder, a butt roast. But do you have any idea where from that little piggy these cuts of meat come?

Probably not. We confess we didn’t either. Until now.

This fun illustration of the portions of the pig we love to eat was found painted on a coffee table in the waiting area of one of our favorite restaurants. This cute little painted piggy solves the mystery. Things aren’t necessarily located where you might have imagined they would be. Pork is a very versatile meat that can be enjoyed in endless ways. So next time you’re at the grocery store buying a pork loin roast or some bacon be grateful for the animal that is providing food for your meal.

In fact just be grateful to God for everything He provides for you. Your Two Chums think that is the key to a fulfilled and happy life. Gratitude is where love, joy and abundant living begins 🙂
