The Day After

December 25th, the official day we celebrate Christmas has passed. But Christmas and the celebration of the birth of Christ is more than a day.

Christmas isn’t meant to be a one day event, it is a spirit that can invade our hearts and souls all year through. We think the whole year is a build up of daily celebrations that lead to a crescendo that culminates on December 25th. But everyday is a good day to celebrate the Christ of Christmas who so lavishly provides us daily with the gifts of joy, love, hope and peace. It is up to us to receive those gifts and open out hearts to them…open our hearts to Him. So today let the beginning of this next year of daily celebrations leading to next December 25 begin! Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth (and each of us in it) receive our King!
