On another lovely note, there once was little girl who loved to hear the stories of Winnie the Pooh.  Many hours were spent reading these stories and watching animated videos, which included some of the quotes you’ve read here.  In particular, the quote above from Pooh that says “As soon as I saw you, I knew an adventure was going to happen” reminds my of that little girl and how I felt about her from the day she was born.  She is my youngest daughter Amanda, all grown up now with three little girls of her own.  Being her mother has been a truly lovely adventure.  Today is Amanda’s birthday.  I couldn’t be prouder of the wife, sister, daughter, mother and friend she is.  She can make even the most common task into a grand adventure and she never ceases to delight and entertain us all.  When she was really little Jackie dubbed her with the most perfect nickname, “Miss Poppet”.  So here’s to you “Miss Poppet”…may this be a year filled to the brim with your best and happiest adventures yet!  Happy birthday, honey 🙂
