Savvy Secrets – Sprucing It Up!

If you are planning on doing some “sprucing up” this season, we have a couple of things we would like to point out. 

The very first thing we would like to share is that you have to have fun with re-doing.  If you are, for some reason, dreading it, stop and pick it up again when you can pick it up with a joyful heart.  If there is no joy, it will show in the results, we guarantee you.  Now, we realize that everyone does not LOVE doing decorating/design work.  If this is the case, see if you cannot find someone to help you – either pay someone or perhaps you have a good pal who could point you in the right direction.  We assure you, it will show in the results.

If you are thinking about getting some new fabrics for your home, online is a great place to look BUT before you order fabric online, be sure to order a sample of that fabric so that you can feel it and see the scale of the pattern and the EXACT color.  If you are unable to order a sample (you usually can for a small fee), we would suggest that you do not buy it.  Once it is cut for you, it is yours!  No going back!

Dont forget that a little paint goes a long way in sprucing up.  We realize we have mentioned this many, many times but we really BELIEVE it!  Try some bold (for you) new colors!
