Spring Cleaning For Your Locks
It isn’t just your home or office that can benefit from a good Spring cleaning. Turns out so can your hair. We came across an article on a site called OneGoodThingbyJillee.com that gave a “recipe” for some DIY detoxifying, or cleansing, shampoo. This isn’t something you would want to use every week but maybe once a month would keep your hair free of build up from styling products and other things you may use on your hair that can generally make hair look limp, dull, and lifeless over time.
Simply add 3 parts sea salt to 2 parts of your favorite shampoo and wash as usual. For added softness and conditioning you can also add 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil to the mixture. And for some added tingle and promoting hair growth, add 2 drops of Essential Rosemary oil. According to Jillee, “Full of minerals, sea salt de-greases hair, removing dead skin cells and dirt, without stripping the natural oils.”
So while you are cleaning house don’t forget to extend that Spring Cleaning to your own lovely locks. Every woman knows that having healthy, shiny, bouncy hair not only brings joy to one’s life but makes it feel pretty abundant all at the same time.
Happy cleaning….and shampooing 🙂
