Something To Think About

Concepts like faith, trust, hope, confidence, love and attitude can be hard to describe to a child, and if we are honest sometimes hard to grasp ourselves. We came across six lovely illustrations of these ideas and wanted to share them with you, our chums.

FAITH
In a small village experiencing severe drought all the villagers decided to pray for rain. On the day designated for their prayer all the people gathered, but only one little boy came with an umbrella. That is faith.

TRUST
When you throw babies in the sir they laugh because they know you will catch them. That is trust.

HOPE
Every night we go to bed without any assurance we will be alive the next morning, but still we set alarms to wake up. That is hope.

CONFIDENCE
We plan big things for tomorrow in spite of zero knowledge of the future. That is confidence.

LOVE
We see the world suffering but still we get married and have children. That is love.

ATTITUDE
An 80 year old wearing a shirt that reads, “I am not 80 years old. I am sweet 16 with 64 years of experience.” That is attitude.

Sometimes a simple story or explanation can make all the difference in understanding life. Here’s to better understanding for us and our little ones. Pass it on.
