Shake!

black-and-white-shake-handsEver taken someone’s hand to shake it and found that it felt like a wet noodle?

Well, we know we have and there is NOTHING worse!

So, here are a couple of MUSTS when teaching your child to shake hands:

1.  Always shake hands with a firm handshake.  Now, we do not mean so firm that it hurts the other person but definitely let the other person know that there is a lot of life in your hand, in your being;  and

2.  Always look the other person in the eye as your are shaking his or her hand and, at the same time, smile.

What a great tool to give your child – one that will be used constantly as he or she goes through life.

Surely, it will add to more abundance!

  1. My husband has severe arthritis in his fingers and I cannot tell you how many times other men have hurt him when shaking his hand. He winces in pain every time and tries to avoid shaking hands whenever he can but sometimes it’s unavoidable.

This is definitely one of the “musts” in what I wish to impart on our son.
