Savvy Secrets – Why Didn’t I Think Of That?

If you know us at all, you know we love helpful hints which we happily call Savvy Secrets. So here are some fun ones for you that will have you asking yourself. “Why didn’t I think of that?”:

This photo really says it all. No more fumbling for the end of your roll of tape!

Use file organizer (you can often find them at the Dollar store) to organize your baking sheets, cutting boards, or even the lids to your pots and pans.

If you need or want to amplify the sound on your cell phone, place it in a ceramic or any hard bottomed pot and the sound will be amplified throughout the surrounding area creating a smartphone speaker. This can be great for playing music at a party.

Use a lint roller to remove dust and debris including spider webs from screens.

Need a funnel to transfer paint or oil or some other liquid to a new contain? Use an old empty plastic container. As you use up a product wash out the plastic bottle and cut away the bottom of the bottle. Store these “funnels” in a bin in your garage or basement and any time the need arises you’ll have a free funnel that you can use once and toss away without needing to clean it.

These are some very simple and helpful ideas indeed. We are asking ourselves already “Why didn’t I think of that?”!!!
