Savvy Secrets -Home Hacks

If you know anything about your Two Chums, you know we love to get and share Savvy Secrets. We have some good ones for you today!

Who knew we have been using that colander backwards nd all wrong all this time?

Rather than using one of those plastic floor mats for your desk chair, buy and few pieces of laminate flooring and place it under your chair. It will look neat and professional and your chair will move smoothly and easily.

Not enough counter space or work area near your stove? Use a cutting board on top of a pulled out drawer and you’ll have extra work space right where you need it and handy clean up too.

What a genius way to store open bags of frozen fruit or veggies. Use binder clips to attach open bags to the rack in your freezer. They will be easy to reach and store well closed.

You can turn your shower into a spa like shower with this home hack. For each opening in your ice cube tray, melt a tablespoon of vapor rub in boiling water. Stir to dissolve then pour into the ice cube tray and freeze. Drop one of these “ice cubes” on the floor of your shower and as the hot water hits it, you will have steam that will open your head and clear your sinuses.

If you have children or grandchildren, you likely have some Legos lying around your home. Attach a small piece of Lego pad to the side of your desk. You can use a Lego bar attached to your key ring to keep your keys handy. Also, you can use a little Lego figure to hold your cell phone power cord. Their “hands” are the perfect size to hold the cord of your charger.

What a fabulous way to keep the end of a tool of tape from being stuck to the rest of the roll. Simply hang on to those bread bag plastic wraps and attach them to the end of the tape each time use it so you’ll never struggle to find the end of the roll again! (We love this one because who doesn’t have rolls of tape and who hasn’t struggled to find the end of the roll?)
