Savvy Secrets for Parents
We can all use some good ideas to be better, more effective parents no matter at what stage our children or grandchildren are 🙂
1. Need to install a baby gate but hate the idea of drilling holes in your walls or moulding? Use zip ties. You can simply cut them when the gate isn’t necessary anymore and no holes!
2. Have little ones who are prone to falling out of a “big” bed? Use a pool noodle to create a barrier.
3. Large laundry baskets in the tub keep little ones contained and toys within reach.
4. Temporary tattoos with your cell phone number from www.tattoos. org or even just writing your number on a child’s arm can be helpful in crowded situations where you know they could get lost or separated from you.
5. If you have a coughing baby try this idea. Apply Vapor rub on the bottoms of their feet and cover them with socks. Might work for adults too!
6. Telling twin infants apart can be difficult especially for people who aren’t their parents. This could be a solution. Just remember who is “A” and who is “B” 🙂
7. Have a long car ride ahead of you and need to keep activities for your little one within reach? Attach a shoe holder on the back of the seat in front of your child. they can reach those things they want without driving you crazy every time they want something. (This is of course in theory)
8. Want to teach your young child how to hold a pencil properly? Try this.
9. Do you need some tips for motivating your older children to clean their room? This may help.
10. There can never be too much motivation for children when it comes to doing chores or cleaning up!
Having new ways to make raising those precious little people entrusted to our care easier, safer and more fun can only lead to more love, joy and abundant living!

Those are excellent tips. I love the twin A and B and the clean your room tips. haha
Fun. Regarding tip 6 – I read in an old children’s book (All of a Kind Family) that the mom taught one of the girls to dust the living room by hiding pennies in places she might not dust unless she was doing a thorough job. If she found all of them she could keep them.
