Savvy Secrets for Mothers

This week, being our week for “Mothering”, we are including Savvy Secrets for Mothers. Every mother needs these to stay ahead of the game!
- What mother does not love to take photographs of her little ones? We thought this was really helpful for your camera. Just buy a soap dish which then serves as a sturdy camera case. Just the right size for most of the little cameras of today!
- A great way to teach your little ones how to be tidy. Get these good looking metal labels and label the shelf with what should be in it. You will find that they will learn really quickly!
- A shoe rack for their sports’ equipment! What a great idea!……….
- ……..or, a laundry bag for their sports’ balls.
- This retractable drying rack is such a useful “tool” to have in your laundry room. When you need it to “line dry” something that cannot go in the dryer, you simply pull it out. When not in use, it can be pushed back to the wall.
- Who would have thought of using bobby pins for this purpose? Put bobby pins on your pleats to make ironing those pleats a breeze.
- Use your flat iron to iron those ‘hard to get to’ places on shirts or blouses.
- Working directly over the mattress, pour baking soda into a sieve. Dust the mattress evenly with the soda, which will gradually draw dirt and moisture out of the mattress and eliminate odors. Allow to sit for one hour and then vacuum up. Remake the bed. You can also tuck a few lavender scented dryer sheets, (the kind with essential oils), under the mattress cover to deliver a fresh and pleasing scent while you sleep.
- What a great way to hang your handbags! Buy shower curtain hooks and pop them in your wardrobe. It really helps to keep the shape of your handbag.
- At the end of the day, when you have half and hour to give yourself a manicure, this is a wonderful way to dry your polish really quickly. Paint your nails and let them dry for two minutes. Put some water with lots of ice in it in a bowl and put your hands into the water. The very cold water will firm up that polish in three minutes. So, take your hands out of the water after three minutes and then, treat yourself to an evening full of love, joy and abundance – you have earned it!
