Savvy Secrets – A Clean Frig

Most homemakers know that keeping an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator will help to absorb and eliminate foul odors. But getting rid of bad smells is just the beginning.

We recently came across this Savvy Secret and just had to share it with our chums.

Sometimes there are left overs in our refrigerator that are…shall we say…a little too “left over”. The box of baking soda will in fact absorb most bad odors but it doesn’t necessarily make your refrigerator smell good. To do that try dousing some cotton balls in vanilla which you then put in a small bowl in your refrigerator. If you are like most people you will find the smell of vanilla is very pleasant and even comforting. Done this way it isn’t a strong smell just a lightly fragrant one that is very delicate and pleasant.
