Off They Go With Their Backpacks!

What did we do before backpacks!  Golly, other cultures have carried things on their backs for centuries so we finally caught up and now, most school children you see, will be carrying one on their sweet back.  

Your child might have a much-loved backpack that he or she will use this year, after he or she used and loved it last year, or you may think that your budget may dictate that a new backpack is out of the question but chances are, you will be searching the stores this week to find a new backpack to take your precious one off to school.  Your Two Chums have been looking around and have found some great bargains when it comes to backpacks.

Walmart has a wonderful variety of very well-priced backpacks.  There are very feminine ones:

Or, as always, there is Costco.  We found this great one which has all sort os compartments and is very roomy.  It is $18.99, comes in many different colors and patterns, and is a real bargain!

You might want to have your child’s monogram or initials put onto the backpack.  Certainly, that is a wonderful way to personalize it.  If you have not had any monogramming done and do not know where to go, google it for your area.  There are many little silk screening shops that also do monogramming or there might be a monogramming cart in your local mall.  Monograms or initials rather than names are probably the best idea.

What an exciting time of year!  That first day of school, new teachers, new and old friends, and learning tons of new stuff.
