New Trick For An Old Fav
It’s that time of year. If you know anything about your Two Chums it’s that at this, or any time of year, we simply LOVE deviled eggs!
And you know what else we love?….BUTTER!!!!
So put the two together and we are in heaven 🙂 Give this a try and let us know what you think. but seriously how could this be anything but delicious?!!!
Deviled Eggs with a Secret Ingredient
12 eggs hard boiled eggs (get our “no fail” method here)
1/3 cup of mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons room temp butter (butter should be very soft)
2 tsp. Dijon mustard
2 tsp. yellow mustard
salt and pepper to taste
Paprika, thyme, dill, tarragon, chives, crumbled bacon for garnish
Peel and cut eggs and separate yolks from whites. Using a fine handheld grater, grate the yolks into a bowl. Add mayonnaise, mustards, salt and pepper and of course the secret ingredient, butter. Blend until creamy and smooth. Using a pipping bag and decorative tip or a ziplock bag, fill with egg yolk mixture and pipe into the egg whites. For a more rustic look, simply spoon yolk filling into the whites. Top with your favorite garnish or a combination of garnishes if your really want to “gild the lilly”… or in this case the egg 🙂 Bon Appetit!
