Let’s Wrap It Up
With Christmas just days away, if you are like most of us, you may still have some gift wrapping to do. Not much time so you need simple and easy and hopefully inexpensive but still very festive.
Plain colored paper, red or white or you could of course use green, and some colorful yarn, a few sprigs of greenery and your all set!
Simple white butcher paper, or any white wrapping paper, some red yarn and a sprig of greenery are simple and easy to come by and make for fun wrap.
Red wrapping paper from the $1 Dollar store, some fuzzy yarn, also from a $1 store, greenery, and dried orange slices* for festivity…and voila!
White paper and red yarn simply tied. Wrap some yarn around your package and tie a knot to secure it, leaving several inches on each end of the yarn. Next wrap more yarn around your fingers multiple times and then tie it off in the center with the ends of the yarn tied around the package. Once the loops are secured in the center and tied tightly, cut all the loops forming a pompom. Simple, easy and festive!
For the dried orange slices, cut oranges all the same thickness, preferably thin and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in an oven at the very lowest setting, 100 to 140 degrees, whatever the lowest setting on your oven is. Leave for 4-5 hours turning once or twice while drying. Allow to cool completely and attach with mini clothes pins …also from our favorite $1 store or make a small hole and run the yarn through to tie.
Happy wrapping!
