Letgo

Letgo may look like a typo, but that is not the case.  If you like browsing at thrift or consignment stores, or checking out estate or yard sales, OR if you have a few things to sell yourself but not enough to warrant a yard sale of your own, we have some great news for you today.  We have come across an app for your phone, iPad or tablet that will allow you to shop for almost anything you might look for at a thrift store or estate sale, or you can sell your own gently used items, without ever leaving your home.  The app is called….you guessed it…Letgo.  This is an app that allows you to put in the area where you live or are looking, as well as the item or category of things you are looking for, and it will show you everyone selling items that fit your description within a designated area.  And there are more items than you might think and at prices that might surprise you.

Here is how this app is described:

Letgo is the biggest and fastest growing app to buy and sell locally.  Over 75 million downloads and 200 million listings!  Find great local deals, from secondhand phones, fashion, sneakers, and games, to furniture, cars and real estate.

Here is a sample of some of the items that we have recently seen for sale on Letgo in our area.

These chairs certainly originally sold individually for more than twice what this seller is asking for them both together.  Also as you can see from the screen shot from the phone, you can easily communicate with the seller to ask questions about an item or make inquiries if the price of an item is negotiable.

The size and price of this rug speaks for itself.

This Burberry purse sold almost immediately after being posted.  The fact that it had never been used and had the original dust cover and was selling for only $65 explains why.

This table and 4 chairs in great condition sold recently for $80.  This listing was hard to pass up.

Need some chiavari party chairs?  At less than $8 each these are cheaper to buy than to rent!

You get the picture…literally and figuratively.  The app is free to install and use to buy items.  We have not yet tried to sell something, but imagine it is just as simple as buying is.  We’ve asked some sellers about their experiences and all have said they have had nothing but great success and dealt with really good people.  So if you are in the market for something for your home or yourself or just enjoy browsing, give this a try.  You might just find (or sell) a treasure!
