Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez! – Crawfish Gumbo
This is a cajun motto for “Let the good times roll !” Those who visit the beautiful city of New Orleans will see it written most everywhere. Recently I had the great fortune to take my grandson, Jeremy there to be guests on a cooking show with Chef Jeff Henderson, called Family Style With Chef Jeff. It airs tomorrow thus the second post for today 🙂We had a wonderful time and Jeremy learned to make Crayfish Gumbo. He also had the fun of traveling to a local crayfish farm where he helped harvest the crayfish.
Then back on the set he seemed right at home in the kitchen with my brother, Ted, the show’s producer/director.
It is hard to imagine anything that is more beautiful and vibrant than this!
When the show was over we spent a couple days sightseeing and fishing…it was a great time!
You will be able to find the gumbo recipe on the show’s website Family Style With Chef Jeff . The program is syndicated and airs on different stations at different times around the country. A schedule of some cities can be found here. So tune in tomorrow if you’re home, or set your DVR, and learn how to make delicious gumbo and black pepper biscuits. That has to bring more love, more joy, and definitely more abundant living to your kitchen 🙂

I just happened upon this show today which was with you and your gorgeous grandson! All I kept saying was–lol–OMG….he looks JUST LIKE my grandson, Caleb!!! I’ve been trying to find your episode posted anywhere but can’t. I wanted to show it to my daughter so she could see that I’m NOT crazy….lol! She says I’m always saying I’ve seen someone who looks like her or her son. Hahaha….
So glad you enjoyed the show…we had a terrific time doing it! I would love to see your grandson. I’ll bet he is just as cute as Jeremy 🙂
