“Just A Family Wedding”

As time led up to the wedding of Catherine and William, the Middleton family, according to Pippa, viewed it as “just a family wedding with all the family members doing their bit”.

It seems that it was not until Pippa got up onto the infamous balcony of Buckingham Palace and saw the hoards of crowds beneath her that she realized that this was really “pretty special”.

Matt Lauer of the Today show had the distinct pleasure of being the first television person to interview Pippa in what was a charming interview which aired on two mornings this week.

Pippa certainly did not ask to be famous and, at times, she finds it difficult.  But, for the most part, she uses it for good.  She has just finished a bicycle race across the United States with a team of people, earning money for two charities.  It took one week and she said she thinks it was the “longest week of her life”, in a good way.  Her brother James was also one of the cyclists.

Pippa and Kate are very close and value each other’s opinions.  Pippa feels that it is most valuable that they have a tight knit family who supports each other……their lives, at the moment, revolving around the newest member of that family, Prince George.

Any mention of her beau, Nico?  No, no mention in this interview of Nico.  I know the world was told at the end of last year that they were engaged, but it seems that this might have been pure rumor (or rumour as Pippa would spell it!) as we have not heard anything more about it.

When asked the most important thing she has learnt in the past three years, her answer was, “Be yourself”.  Sounds easy but we feel sure, at times, it is difficult.

Certainly, Pippa seems like a person full of joy!
