Remember Your Travels!
How I wish that a Journal had been started for me when I was a babe and began my travels!
Of course, I can remember a lot of my childhood travels but certainly not all. It would be wonderful to look back and recall it all. When the idea came to me a few years ago, I thought, “It is never too late to start” and so I ran out and bought a little book which I call my “Travel Book”. My Travel Book is not one that I write in every day – in fact, it stays at home in its drawer, even when I am traveling. It is purely a journal to remind me where we went and where we stayed and, perhaps a couple of things about how we liked it. My memory takes me the rest of the way.
So, why not start one for your children? Now is a great time to start it with the summer just coming to an end. Perhaps you took your children on a big trip or maybe you went away to a beachside resort for the weekend…or maybe you had a “stay-cation” with your family and stayed at home and made memories there. Whatever way you took a vacation with your children, write it down. In the years to come, they can take over and, when they are adults, they will so enjoy looking back in this little book and reminiscing a bit.
Remember the love, remember the joy and keep on with the abundant living!
PS The Journal at the top can be found at Barnes and Noble for $10.

That is such a great idea. My family had a wall map of the U.S, in our kitchen eating area. Each trip was traced with a marker – a different color for each trip.
This made for great conversations at meals as well as helping us with geography.
I wonder where that map is today.
What a super idea! Love it.
