It’s The Wrap
Do you need some new ideas for wrapping your Christmas gifts? We got some fun ideas for you here. 1. You may not be able to monogram your gift, but you can monogram the wrap instead. Use this idea came from a site called thediyplaybook.com. Use a small glass as a template for the circle to put the initials in. Trace the circle from the glass then write the last initial in the middle slightly larger than the other initials. Put the first initial to the left of the last initial and the middle initial to the right of it. For virtually no extra expense you can have classy, personalized gift wrapping.
2. Wrap you gifts in natural or white butcher paper. Let your little ones make finger prints on the paper and then connect them with a black line to simulate a string of lights. No ribbon necessary.
3. Tear up strips of newspaper or old books in graduating lengths. Wrap your gift in butcher paper then glue strips to form a tree. Add a star to the top and you’re good to go.
4. Wrap the box in butcher paper. Draw a snowman’s face and buttons. Use plaid ribbon to be the snowman’s scarf.
5. Use red string or bakers twine on your package wrapped in butcher paper. Rather than tie a bow seal the string with sealing wax.
6. Use all those newspapers piling up as wrapping paper. Tie the package up with simple twine and add a pop of color by adding a sprig of simple red berries.
7. Wrap your gift with simple butcher paper and tie it up with twine and use a sprig of pine greenery and a small pinecone. Spray the tips of the pinecone with flocking and allow the flocking to spatter as part of the decoration.
8. Wrap your gift in newspaper and then tie with green ribbon. Roll up strips of newspaper to form roses and glue them to the top of your gift.
What can make a simple or even an ordinary gift a really special one? It’s the presentation…it’s not just the gift, it’s the wrap. 🙂
