Indeed, a ‘Dog and Pony Show’!
If you know anything about HM The Queen, you are very aware of her deep love for her animals.
This was made evident on Monday when, as her coffin was driven along The Long Walk at Windsor Castle, you could see on the side Emma, her fell pony, standing at attention for her darling Monarch.
And, as the coffin reached the Castle, there were her corgis, Sandy and Muick.
One of the public’s greatest concerns when the queen died was where Muick and Sandy would go.
A spokesperson for Prince Andrew subsequently confirmed that they will simply change residences on the estate, moving in with the Prince and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. (Although divorced, the couple live together at Royal Lodge on the grounds.)
While the queen had other breeds over her long lifetime, she loved corgis above all others. She reportedly had more than 30 in her lifetime; Princess Diana once called them a “moving carpet.”
Those dear little doggies – plus there are two more – one Cocker Spaniel, we believe, and one dorky!
Thank you, sweet dogs and horses and ponies for looking after Her Majesty so well!
