Hair Detox
Just like our bodies, every now and then our hair could use a good detox too. We found this great DIY hair detox on onegoodthingby jill.com.While researching some good hair products for cleansing and conditioning we came across this DIY hair detox recipe at one of our favorite sites onegoodthingby jill.com. Jillee is known to have lots more than one good idea and this one is no exception.
You can buy “salted” shampoos at quite a premium price….or you can make this one! As Jillee put it in her post:
“Full of minerals, sea salt de-greases hair, removing dead skin cells and dirt, without stripping natural oils. It also removes PRODUCT BUILD-UP which gives hair a LIFT. Perfect for hair in need of a boost.”
This couldn’t be easier and is only pennies to make. Simply mix 3 parts course sea salt with 2 parts of your favorite mild shampoo. For added conditioning and softness add 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil. And to promote faster hair growth add 2 drops of Rosemary essential oil.
Shampoo as you normally would and rinse with cool water. This detox mixture is only meant to be used about once per month. Using more often could dry hair out.
Beautiful, healthy, detoxed hair ….more love, joy and a life that looks and feels abundant 🙂
