Fall IS Coming!
When you are ready to admit that fall is coming, we found this great “door piece” to share with you.
What a very pretty (and easy) way to welcome your guests.
Here’s how:
To make this elegant cluster, select 8 four- to six-inch pinecones and 8 two-foot-long pieces of silk or grosgrain ribbon. The color of the ribbon is totally up to you but a fall color might be a good choice. For a Christmas decoration, you might want to use a bright red ribbon with your pinecones sprayed gold and silver!
Use a hot-glue gun to adhere the last two inches of each ribbon to the base of a cone.
After the glue dries, collect all the ribbon ends and stagger them so that the cones fall at varying lengths.
Tie the ribbon ends together in a knot, trim the tips so they are uniform, and slip the knot over a finishing nail.
A huge “thank you” to Country Living Magazine for this very fun idea.
It brings so much joy to create something pretty and beautiful. Joy, oh yes, such joy!
