Encore – A Summer Savvy Secret

This one Savvy Secret alone, which appeared in a post in 2012, has made our summer beach excursions soooo much nicer!Who knew something so simple and inexpensive could make a world of difference when it comes time to leave the beach.  Our beach bags now ALWAYS contain some baby powder. You can pick some up for just  a $1 at the 99 Cents store or, in a pinch, just use cornstarch if you don’t have baby powder.  Baby powder is really nothing more than cornstarch with some fragrance added.

Have trouble getting the sand off your children’s feet, or your own, after a day at the beach? Baby powder will do the trick.  Just sprinkle it on and like magic the sand falls off.  You are left with smooth, soft, sand free skin!

Pack yourself a picnic, suntan lotion or sun screen, grab a blanket and some beach chairs, and by all means don’t forget the baby powder, and have a glorious day at the beach with your little ones or even all by yourself.  Summer is calling 🙂
