Easter Cookie Pops
These are what we would call a trifecta….easy, delicious, and can serve as your centerpiece!
What could possibly be better than an Oreo cookie smothered in white chocolate and covered with sprinkles? These couldn’t be easier and look adorable when placed in a pretty container and arranged as a “cookie flower” bouquet.
What you need:
Oreo cookies (preferably with “double stuff”)
White chocolate chips
Sprinkles, colored finishing sugar, decorative little candies
Pretty container
Foam
Moss
Lollipop sticks
Start by cutting a piece of floral foam or styrofoam to fit your container. Cover the foam with decorative moss. (If you don’t have moss you could also use the colorful Easter grass that you put in Easter baskets.)
Next put the white chocolate morsels in a heavy bottomed pan and on low heat melt the white chocolate. (Note: white chocolate doesn’t melt the way milk or dark chocolate does. It gets soft and can be spread but don’t leave it on the heat too long or it will scorch. )
Now take the lollipop sticks, and using a hammer, flatten one end. Separate your Oreo and add the lollipop stick. If you don’t have Oreos with “double stuff”, add a bit of melted white chocolate to the stick before pressing the two cookie halves together.
Spread the cookie on a stick with the soft white chocolate and cover with sprinkles or colored finishing sugar.
Place the finished cookie pop in the foam and voila! You have dessert AND a centerpiece, a bouquet of darling and delicious cookie flowers! Enjoy these with your family and friends. Here’s to a day filled with love, joy and real abundant living. Happy Easter, dear chums 🙂
