Clouds – Being Still

What do you think of when you see puffy white clouds like these?

Jackie’s dear husband, Dennis Page, was known for just simply enjoying a sky filled with clouds. What was he doing as he contemplated those lovely clouds? We all wondered. But Jackie has the answer. “He was listening – listening for God’s answer to something he had asked Him”.

My dear husband Randy, enjoyed the clouds on a recent flight so much he made this video of his view from the window seat he occupied:

“True peaceful beauty…makes one’s thoughts drift along”, he said as the three of us, Jackie, Randy and I, remembered our wonderful Dennis and his love of clouds.

There is something so beautiful and peaceful in a sky filled with lovely puffy white clouds. It conjures thoughts of heaven. It beckons us to do just what Dennis did…listen for God to speak to us, to answer those requests of Him we’ve made, the answers to the wisdom we’ve asked for…to simply:
“Be still and know that I am God” Psalms 46:10

When next you see a sky with clouds, do what Dennis did.. listen. Be still and listen.
