Cherry Bombs

What could be more fun for the 4th of July?

These are simple to make and fun! Simply remove some maraschino cherries with stems from the juice they are in and dry them well with a paper towels.

Next melt some white chocolate chips and dip the cherries in the melted white chocolate about 2/3 of the way up the cherry. Lastly, while the white chocolate is still soft, dip the bottoms of the cherries in some blue sugar or blue sprinkles. Place on wax paper until the white chocolate becomes firm.

Use the cherries on top of a cheesecake, cupcakes, or pour some of the cherry juice over vanilla ice cream, add a few blue sprinkles and top with a “cherry bomb” for a fun ice cream celebration in honor of our nations birthday!
