Centerpiece “How-To’s”
Flowers aren’t the only option for your Thanksgiving table centerpiece.Your Two Chums have often enjoyed using fresh fruit or sometimes vegetables as centerpiece options in lieu of flowers. We LOVE flowers! But you can create a beautiful and very economical centerpiece by using things you can find at the grocery store and in your own garden. Here are just a few simple ideas you might use this Thanksgiving.
Stack three pumpkins or Fall squash one on top of the other of graduating size. Try to find wide flat-bottomed pumpkins to keep the stack stable. Using magnolia or other hearty leaves, fill in the base around the bottom of your display. Add pinecones and walnuts or almonds in their shells to complete the centerpiece.
Apples make a pretty and very festive centerpiece and one that is economical as well. You can see the list of supplies you will need and a step by step “how-to” here.
Greenery you can find in your own garden or on a walk in the park, along with some mini pumpkins, and additions you can buy very inexpensively at your local Michael’s or other craft store and put it all together and you’ve got a lovely addition to your Thanksgiving table. Get the how-to here.
No matter what you have at the center of your table this Thursday, be sure that what is at the center of your home and filling every corner, is a spirit of love and gratitude for all the blessings in your life. Nothing is more attractive or more important than abundant love, joy and gratitude 🙂
