All The Presidents

It’s Presidents Day as you are surely aware. So today we want to share with you a fun way to help your children, or help yourself for that matter, identify and know a bit more about each of the former gentlemen we have called Mr. President.

We found an app from the App Store on our phones, that allows you to see a picture of each president that comes up randomly, in no particular order, read a quick identifying fact about him, and then choose from 4 possible answers which president he is. It is a learning experience that is sometimes actually challenging and is fun at the same time. Here are some examples:

It makes learning about this part of our history surprisingly fun and is even rather exciting when you can finally recognize them all…it takes a bit of trial and error but what a great feeling when you, or your child, can see a photo or painting and recognize by name which president it is. The app is called U.S. Presidents: Guess the President and it is free. Just download it to your phone or iPad and you’re all set to begin. You’re having fun and learning at the same time. We call that a win/win.

We may not always agree on political points of view or policies but we think we owe all our presidents gratitude and respect for their service and so today we honor those men who have served our country and done their part to keep us safe and make us proud to live here. Today we say to each one, “Thank you Mr. President”.
