All Kinds Of Red, White and Blue!
We have some fun and delicious ideas for your Independence Day celebration!
This “fruity” version of the flag is just one simple way to bring the good old red, white and blue to the table this 4th of July. This is simple to make. Using 11 bamboo skewers simply alternate quartered strawberries (you could also use large raspberries or pitted cherries)with large slices of bananas. On 5 skewers you will add blueberries as well.
Starting on the left hand side, on the first 5 skewers, alternate strawberry, banana, strawberry, banana, and then 5 large or 6 smaller blueberries. On the next 6 skewers use 4 pieces of strawberries and 3 pieces of banana beginning and ending with the strawberries. As you can see from the photo, the strawberries and bananas make up the stripes, while the blueberries form the blue background of the stars.
