A Buffet Is Always A Good Idea
If you are still deciding what to have for your New Years Eve or New Years Day celebration, we have some ideas for you….a buffet….especially a buffet of finger foods, is always a good idea:-)
The key to a good buffet is variety. You can buy some ready made things or make all the dishes yourself as long as you choose simple things. We have some suggestions for you. Use as many or as few of these as you want. They have all been tested and used again and again both together and alone by your Two Chums.
Brisket French Dip Sandwiches
Use our recipe for brisket and simply put slices of the brisket on sour dough dinner rolls you have dipped in the juices from the roast and then spread with spicy mustard and you have some very easy and very delicious small French Dip Sandwiches.
Hot Artichoke Dip
This is our all time favorite tried and true appetizer. Everybody LOVES Hot Artichoke Dip!
Deviled Eggs
Everybody loves Deviled Eggs. You just really can’t go wrong with these!
Smoked Salmon Sandwiches
These open faced bites just seem to melt in your mouth. They are perfect with a glass of champagne.
This couldn’t be any easier to make or to eat!
Tomato Bisque and Toasted Cheese Sandwiches
Comfort food is always in style and always a good idea. Simply serve the soup in little demitasse or punch cups so your guests can drink their soup without a spoon and serve mini cheese sandwiches to dip in the soup on the side. These are a sure hit every time!
Hummus is great because you can make it and the pita chips ahead, or buy it ready made and serve it with store bought pita chips. Either way it is always popular.
A party where people can mingle and talk and eat and talk some more and then eat some more can only lead to a gathering full of fun, and bring in the New Year with love, joy and so much abundant living!
