…A Beautiful, Bountiful Name!

Yes, HRH, Princess of Cambridge has a name!

We heard this morning that the little Princess has big names!  The official announcement,

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.  The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.”

Charlotte is the feminine of Charles, a derivative of Carole and also is the middle name of Pippa Middleton.

Elizabeth, obviously, is HRH The Queen’s first name.  It is Catherine’s, as well as her mother’s, middle name…

…and Diana.  Well, we don’t have to say anything about that wonderful name.  We are not at all surprised that William wanted his mother’s name to be a part of his daughter’s name.

What a very beautiful name for a sweet little Princess.

We celebrate this news and are rejoicing with this beloved family.

PS  A side note, Earl Spencer, Diana’s brother, has a two year old daughter named Charlotte Diana.
