Royal “Green” – Juice That Is
Now that summer is officially here, wouldn’t we all like to be healthy and slim? Us Weekly recently reported that Kate Middleton’s sister, Pippa, has arranged to have green juice (juices made from leafy greens, fruits and vegetables), delivered to the mommy of two little ones, three times a week. Green juices are the latest trend in healthy living. They give you a great big boost of vitamins and minerals, contribute to your daily vegetable servings, and keep you hydrated all at the same time. Knowing how fabulous she looks, our chum, Wendy, asked us if we could find out what is in that juice that Kate is drinking.
Kate reportedly began juicing prior to her 2011 wedding and has continued as she has seen good results, feeling healthy and energetic. The British press has even nicknamed Kate, “The Smoothie Queen” and she has been reported as saying she loves her NutriBullet mini mixer.
We did our homework and while we can’t guarantee the Duchess drinks this exact juice, it is the recipe from one of Kate and her sister, Pippa’s, favorite restaurants, Bumpkin. If the Duchess of Cambridge is a fan of this juice and it has helped her look healthy and slim, and full of energy, we think it is worth a try!
Thanks for asking Wendy!
Bumpkin’s Lean Mean Green Machine Juice
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
1 pear
1 cucumber
2 stalks of celery
2 large handfuls of kale
1 lemon
1 inch piece fresh ginger
Directions:
Wash all ingredients. Peel cucumber, ginger, and lemon. Chop the ends off of the celery. Run all ingredients through a juicer. (For similar results, you can blend in a blender or food processor and strain through a fine-mesh sieve or cheese cloth, but a juicer is the easiest way!)

Thank you for the research!
Thank you for the question 🙂
You can also buy a similar product at Costco or the grocery store called “Green Machine” & it tastes delicious. I drink it for my breakfast 3 mornings a week along with eating a dozen raw almonds. You can avoid the headache of a cleanup with a juicing machine.
By the way: you can also juice 1 day a week for a good cleanse but I generally do that when I know I can stay home & have a quiet day.
Great idea Dick! i’ll bet a lot of people will opt for that route 🙂
