Put Them All Together
This week we have talked about chocolate, eggs, butter, and cheese. Each of these things is wonderful and tasty by itself. But put them all together and you get ……Chocolate Cheese Cake of course! It is hard to imagine a tastier result of this happy combination of yummy ingredients!
Chococlate Cheesecake
¾ cup butter
2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers work well or you make your own)
¾ teaspoon cinnamon
4 eggs
2/3 cup sugar
3 (8oz.) packages cream cheese room temperature
3 Tablespoons cocoa
8 oz. semi sweet chocolate melted
1 ½ teaspoon vanilla
3 ½ cup sour cream
Whipped cream for garnish
Melt ½ cup butter and mix with cookie crumbs and cinnamon.
Press into a 10 in spring form pan.
Chill crust in freezer while you prepare filling. Beat eggs with sugar until smooth. Add cocoa, chocolate, vanilla and sour cream, and cream cheese. Mix well. Melt remaining ¼ cup butter and fold into mixture.
Turn into chilled crumb crust.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cake will appear very runny when removed from oven and may look puffy and cracked on top. Don’t worry this will settle.
Cool 15 minutes, then place in refrigerator and chill overnight.
Decorate the top with whipped cream and serve with additional whipped cream on the side.
Makes 20 rich and delicious servings.

My glory! That looks sooo good (but not so easy to make. I’m better at vacuuming!)
How do y’all not get FAT, making all this yumminess?
Well there may be a few more pounds than there were in junior high school but there are also so many sweet memories of good food and good times…I think those few extra pounds are worth it 🙂
