Making A Better Burger
This is the start of Labor Day weekend. We’ve got a tip to make your burgers better:)Hot dogs and hamburgers will be consumed in vast numbers this weekend. Wouldn’t you like to know how to make those burgers you’ll be making even better?
Make an indentation in the very center of your hamburger patties. As the meat cooks, it has a tendency to swell in the center, so by depressing the center of the patties and making them thinner before you begin cooking them, when they do cook they will be nice, even, flat burgers on which you can add whatever toppings taste good to you. Here are some we made the other day:
Jackie prefers her burger with cheese, grilled onion, a slice of tomato and ketchup and mustard on a toasted bun.
Robin likes hers with cheddar cheese, a Thousand Island sauce ( a mixture of mayo, ketchup and relish), lettuce, tomato, and a slice of raw onion on a warm bun.
No matter what toppings you choose, add a couple dill pickles, some potato chips and in a few minutes you’ve got a perfect meal for Labor Day weekend or for any weekend!
Classic American burgers…just one more way to add to your abundant lives filling them with more love and more joy and some pretty tasty burgers too!
