Heartland
We are all home more these days and consequently, watching more TV. So perhaps you are running out of ideas for things to watch. We’ve got a great suggestion for you today, a great place for you to visit…Heartland.
Heartland is a Canadian TV family drama. In fact it is the longest running TV series in Canadian history. EVERYONE loves the Bartlett family. The show is set in Alberta, Canada on a family horse and cattle ranch. Over the last 13 seasons they have covered the gamut when it comes to relationships and life within a family….all sorts of life events, marriage, divorce, birth, death, joy, loss, success, failure, adoption and love…always love. You can’t help but feel you are friends of the Bartletts, or even extended family, as you watch them grow and change over the years but still keep those things that make them a family and keep them loving and supporting each other. With all the negative and dark things on television it is refreshing to have an option that is real and honest, but wholesome at the same time. A show you can watch and, without it being sappy or syrupy, and which lets you come away feeling good and uplifted.
And if you happen to love horses, this will be a show you will particularly love. But even if horses aren’t your cup of tea we think you will enjoy getting to know this family and watching them grow together and grow up.
You can find seasons 1 thru 11 on Amazon Prime and Netflix, and seasons 12 and 13 (both shot in 2019) on the cable channel UP Faith & Family. Check out this wonderful family show. We think you’ll be happy you did and you’ll look forward to your visits to Heartland.
