Collectors, We Certainly Are!
Continuing on with our “house to home” theme of this week, your Two Chums both enjoy having “collections” of things. These collections vary and could be almost anything, really. Certainly, if there are items that you find particularly beautiful, such as Limoges and Battersea boxes, why not start a collection of them?
Or you might find teapots rather fun to collect or perhaps pitchers or napkin rings or spoons or thimbles or dolls. Or even, as was discussed on Monday, a collection of framed family photos.
The list is endless of items which you might find amusing to collect and have around you and so, if you have not already started,
do so!
How splendid it is to walk into a home and see a collection of something, be it small or large. Knowing that each item holds a memory for the “collector”, it is a fun pastime to share just what those memories are.
This dish amongst the limoges boxes sums up a wonderful reason to start a collection of things you love that remind you of people you love and happy times. It reads: “A life without memories is like a Spring without roses.”
Collections create an atmosphere – a special atmosphere – one of you, the collector! So why not start a collection and add more love, joy and abundant living to your home!
Love both of your collections and enjoy admiring them whenever I visit your homes. I wonder if my collection of dust bunnies qualifies…?
