Celebrating Macarons
Yesterday was officially “Macaron Day”. Who decides these things anyway? But we think any day (and everyday) is a good day for macarons! You may be asking yourself “What is the difference between a macaron and a macaroon?
Macaroons are delightfully chewy and delicious cookies usually made with shredded coconut, egg whites and almond meal and are sometimes drizzled or dipped in chocolate. They are a favorite dessert served at Passover.
Macarons are lovely little French wafer type cookies made from egg white and almond meal, that are sandwiched together with a flavored, usually creamy filling.
After you’ve tried them you will know why they are worth the trouble to make and why they do indeed deserve their own “day” of celebration!
Oh it is the little things, particularly the “sweet” little things in life that bring so much love, joy and abundance 🙂
P.S. One of the benefits of both these treats is that they are gluten free

There should definitely be an Oreo Day too!
I am very glad to know the difference. I could not rectify the two in my mind. I have pretty much ignored macarons because I don’t like coconut in my teeth. Now I have to try them.
